Joel A. Montilla, founder and President of Montilla Law, recently joined the Florida Blockchain Business Associations Legislative Committee in order to bring his expertise in the legal space to benefit the Web3 industry in the State of Florida.
Montilla Law Firm is a private law firm serving clients in both a personal capacity and professional capacity throughout Central Florida. Joel is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan where he earned his Juris Doctorate before moving back to Florida to begin his legal career in 2015.

Joel is half Puerto Rican and Dominican. He is fluent in both Spanish and English. He has served on non-profit boards throughout Central Florida for the last decade and served as the Vice President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, 5th D.C.A., between 2018 and 2020. Joel’s involvement with local nonprofits has enabled him to establish local and federal connections surrounding the issues and opportunities of the Puerto Rican community both on and off the island.
Joel is now bringing his personal expertise and vast array of connections to the Florida Web3 scene, where he plans to continue running his people focused law firm, while advocating for the Web3 space.
