Montague Law Joins FBBA, Bringing Years Of Web3 Legal Experience

Founder of Montague Law, John Montague, was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised just 30 miles north on Amelia Island. John has always been a passionate Floridian, and has been incredibly excited to use his talents in the legal and Web3 space to push Florida forward.

John’s decade of legal experience includes working on major real estate transactions as an associate with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A  and working on Venture Capital, M & A, and private equity transactions at the prestigious AM Law 200 firm Locke Lord LLP. He has also worked with a variety of national and international clients advising on the legal intricacies related to digital assets securities regulation and exchange compliance.

Since returning to his North Florida roots and opening up his own firm here, John has focused locally on real estate transactions and estate planning,  while maintain a presence on the international digital assets and crypto currency stage, becoming one of the most experienced and well connected attorneys in this niche space.  John is passionate about providing “white shoe” services with big law experience to his Amelia Island/Jacksonville neighbors as well as his clients all over the world.

John is also one of the founders of Sunshin3, a Florida based political organization focused on electing Web3 friendly candidates to office.

When not focused on the practice of law, John enjoys prone paddling around Amelia Island, surfing, biking, and hiking, and most importantly spending time with his wife and their dog Benji.
